Sweet scented geranium or Pelargonium graveolens is a perennial shrub t with jagged, pointed, scented leaves and small white or pink flowers.
Sweet scented geranium is used to help regulate and relieve premenstrual and menstrual symptoms, amenorrhea, premenstrual cramps and depression of hormonal origin. It could also be used as antiseptic to help treat wounds, cuts and insect bites.
Sweet scented geranium could be used on the skin to help soothe and heal skin problems like fungal infections, eczema, impetigo and dermatosis. It also possesses astringent and purfying properties that could help with balancing acne-prone skins. It also relieves itchy and irritated skin and sunburns. Sweet scented geranium also helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks and dandruff.

Additional Information

As a treatment over several days: Add 1-2 tablespoons in 1L of water to drink over the day or add 1 teaspoon in a glass of water 3 to 4 times daily. Continue the treatment for 20 to 25 days, and take a 5-day break before starting again if necessary. Occasionally to act on more acute problems: Add 1 teaspoon in a glass of water and take 1 to 4 times a day. External use for the skin: -Use morning and night, by spraying directly on skin or on a cotton pad. -As a compress, for localized application: Dilute 4 to 5 tablespoons in 100ml of water. Immerse a compress and apply to the skin. Leave on for 20 minutes. External use for the hair: Spray scalp or use as a rinse after your shampoo . External use for pets: spray on fur once a week.
